CROSSFIT 161 New Albany

The aim of CrossFit is to forge a broad, general, and all inclusive fitness.

CrossFit 161 New Albany: Core strength & conditioning program.

CrossFit 161 is part of the TEAM EDGE New Albany Performance & Fitness Center. CrossFit has been called the sport of fitness. The aim of CrossFit is to forge a broad, general, and all inclusive fitness.

CrossFit specializes in not specializing in one type of training. The CrossFit exercise prescription is made up of constantly varied, high intensity, functional movements. CrossFit workouts can include, but are not limited to metabolic conditioning, gymnastics, and weightlifting. CrossFit workouts can be scaled to meet the fitness needs of anyone.

Functional movements are natural, effective, and efficient movements. They are movement patterns used in daily life. They are compound or multi-joint movements.

CrossFit 161covers all the areas of fitness you’re looking for. Cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, and agility. Our program located at the Team Edge Performance Center in New Albany is just minutes from Easton, Westerville and Pataskala on State Route 161. 

 

What is the On Ramp Program? On Ramp is a one month introduction to CrossFit training methods and philosophy. Participants may attend up to four times per week. Emphasis is placed on skill development, technique, and safety. This will help ensure your success in the regular WOD program. All CrossFit 161 participants must complete this program.

What is the WOD Program? This is CrossFit 161′s Workout Of the Day Program
